New Parish Councillor

We are pleased to announce that we have a new Parish Councillor. We warmly welcome Marc Ramsbottom and look forward to working with him.

Playground Volunteers

On Saturday 28th June we are having a ‘tidy up’ at the playground in Wilson Park. We’re meeting at 10.30 and willing volunteers, complete with scrubbing brushes, cleaning materials and secateurs, will be very welcome. The equipment and the benches would benefit from a spring clean. It would be great to see a good turnout. Many hands make light work!

Playground Bin

In an attempt to save some money, we are looking for a volunteer to empty the playground bin, not the dog waste bin. If anyone is happy to help please get in touch.

Charter Day

A reminder that our thoughts are turning to August 1st and Charter Day, an important day in the Parish calendar and that this year we are considering expanding the event and inviting stall holders to attend the celebrations. We have had some interest, but believe there is the potential for it to be bigger and better. If you would like to get involved please get in touch.

Potholes

Please keep reporting potholes. This can be done by going towww.westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk and clicking on ‘Streets, roads and pavements.’ The more frequently they are reported, the better.

The next Parish Council Drop In will be 10.45 – 12 noon on Tues 10th June at The Square Café.
